Examina com els governs nacionals transformen els sistemes educatius per proporcionar als estudiants oportunitats per desenvolupar aquestes habilitats. This open access book, (free download in Pdf or Epub version from HERE) offers a comparative study of eight ambitious national reforms that sought to create opportunities for students to gain the necessary breath of skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
It examines how national governments transform education systems to provide students opportunities to develop such skills. It analyses comprehensive education reforms in Brazil, Finland, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Portugal and Russia and yields original and important insights on the process of educational change.
Among other things, the chapter dedicated to Portugal serves to understand how, despite its social disadvantages, Portugal has ended up advancing in Spain in terms of education. (e.g. in the number of young people with higher secondary education or the rate of early school leaving.
